Designer

The Designer is a highly skilled creative that’s responsible for bringing creative ideas to life across a variety of channels. Equal parts creative thinker and detail-driven executor, this role ensures design excellence while managing the technical and production details required to deliver high-quality work.

Working closely with other creative team members, client service, and external vendors, the Designer translates creative vision into polished, production-ready deliverables. This individual has experience developing brand identities and guidelines, is fluent in both print and digital workflows, has photo retouching experience, and is confident managing vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

DESIGN

  • Concept, design, and produce high-quality creative work across channels including digital, social, print, and event

  • Work with ADs to translate initial concepts into clear, effective visual solutions while maintaining brand consistency

  • Maintain a working knowledge of brand standards across a variety of clients while advising on design best practices

  • Perform photo retouching as well as design and resize digital and print assets as needed—prepping files for handoff and delivery, including creating press-ready files

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines

  • Present and articulate design decisions internally with confidence and clarity

  • Uphold agency administrative standards and policies

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (including Acrobat), as well as Figma is required

COLLABORATE

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, client service, and development teams to deliver integrated solutions

  • Partner with ADs and client service teams to align creative vision with production execution

  • Manage relationships with production vendors from estimate through delivery to ensure quality, timelines, and budgets are met

  • Proactively identify and solve production challenges to maintain quality and efficiency

GROW

  • Stay informed on design trends, production techniques, and emerging tools

  • Continuously educate yourself on design best practices across digital, social, and print

  • Help elevate the agency’s design standards and production processes

RESPONSIBILITY BREAKDOWN

70% of this role will be supporting art directors with a large volume of design requests including but not limited to:

  • Resizing display ads, social posts, and digital OOH

  • Developing emails, collateral, and PPT templates

  • Converting comps for print and event materials into press-ready files 

30% of this role will be high-level design such as:

  • Landing page/website design

  • Brand identity design

  • Design system development and evolutions for ongoing campaign work

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Expertise in Figma | Beyond a working knowledge, you bring deep proficiency in the program

    • Utilize advanced workflows—auto layout, nested components, and variables—to build responsive, scalable design systems

    • Create high-fidelity prototypes with complex interactions, animation, and logic, and manage libraries, branching, and developer handoff with precision

    • Leverage plugins, AI tools, and efficient workflows to maximize speed, consistency, quality, and delivery

  • UI/UX Design Experience | Familiarity with user-centric design, wireframing, prototyping, and designing intuitive digital interfaces

  • Motion Graphics Capabilities | Experience creating simple animations or motion assets

*This is a hybrid role requiring two in-office days, including a Thursday anchor day, in our Avon, CT office
