AVON, Conn., May 1, 2015 – Today more than 50 members of Connecticut’s integrated marketing communications firm Mintz + Hoke rehabilitated a 1,350-square foot house in Hartford and presented a check to support Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity.
The event is almost a year in the making. Mintz + Hoke set its sights on partnering with Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity for its annual agency holiday initiative and launched a “See how uplifting building can be” campaign.
To kick off the event Ron Perine, president, Mintz + Hoke presented a $2,500 donation on behalf of agency partners and friends. “We have a great team that brings passion, creativity and a can-do attitude to everything we do. Today is an opportunity for us to help a family build a life together right here in Connecticut.”
Karraine Moody, executive director of Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity, welcomed and thanked the team. “In order to build a home, first you must build a house. We’re grateful for Mintz + Hoke’s contributions to Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity. Your time and support today will help us ensure stability for families in years to come.”
Since 1989, Hartford Area Habitat For Humanity has helped to build nearly 220 safe, decent and affordable homes for more than 800 men, women and children in the greater Hartford community, and has partnered with more than 100,000 volunteers to make it all happen.
Mintz + Hoke developed a video that illustrates Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity’s mission and 25th anniversary while encouraging people to “Come together, Build together.”
