AVON, Conn., February 23, 2015 – Connecticut integrated marketing communications firm Mintz + Hoke has announced the promotion of Amarilis Guerra to controller. She reports to Ron Perine, president of Mintz + Hoke. In this position she is responsible for the overall financial health of the company. More specifically she is responsible for maintenance of accounting records, a set of controls and budgets, and she ensures procedures and reporting comply with the generally accepted accounting principles.
Additionally Guerra works closely with Bauza & Associates, a multi-cultural advertising agency. She handles the placement of the firm’s media buys, working with both English- and Spanish-speaking vendors.
Prior to joining Mintz + Hoke Guerra worked at Sylvan Learning Center for eight years as accounting manager and at O’Connell Professional Nurse Service, Inc. as the director of finance for three years.
She attended Bay Path University where she received a B.S. in business administration.
