AVON, Conn., July 14, 2014 - Integrated marketing communications firm Mintz + Hoke promotes Janette Baxter to management supervisor from account supervisor, public relations. In this new role, she leads Mintz + Hoke’s public relations team working in concert with Mary Farrell, chief corporate officer.

During her 14-year tenure at Mintz + Hoke, Baxter has created and led awareness and community relations campaigns for a variety of corporations and financial firms such as GE Capital Corporate Finance and MassMutual, as well as Connecticut tourism destinations including Mohegan Sun. Baxter also manages work for Connecticut state agencies including CTfastrak, Connecticut’s first bus rapid transit system; Connect-Ability, a partnership between the Connecticut Department of Rehabilitation Services that brings together employers and people with disabilities; and the Power of Change Awards, a Connecticut-based nonprofit energy efficiency initiative.
Prior to joining the agency, Baxter spent time as account supervisor at public relations firms KCSA Worldwide, Jacobs & Prosek and Lobsenz-Stevens.
In addition to more than 20 years within communications agencies in New York City and Connecticut, Baxter earned several industry awards including Mercury and Bell Ringer for programs including product launches, financial services and community relations for consumer and business-to-business brands. She is a graduate of Ithaca College.
